Anyone see that 801 Columbia is being resold by the city after expropriating the property last year. Is any commercial property in New Westminster safe anymore. Property can be expropriated and sold at the whim of council but they can't save our theatre locations. Am I wrong or is something out of control in our fair city. I hear they are working on a 7.6% tax gotta pay for all these new things somehow.

Save the Burr? I live across from it. The reason it's nearly abandoned is because the law of supply and demand killed it. Now that LaffLines is going in there we will at least see it being used for theatre related use. A compromise for the hardcore theatre lovers but hey, where is my velodrome?
