Come One, Come All

to the greatest show in New West!

Vancouver Circus School is a fixture in River Market. They offer kids classes, drop-in, and adult classes, plus professional level coaching. I have a few friends who attend the trampoline class every week who rave about how fun and challenging it is. They all tell me what a fun community it is. My son has also gone to birthday parties and school field trips there.

VCS also offers some great shows – I’ve happened upon a few of the shows by pure luck and was amazed by the athleticism and strength of the performers.

This time, I feel pretty lucky to have gotten advanced notice of a show and it’s a good one. Vancouver Circus School wants you to join in on the fun! The show is this coming Saturday with a show at 4pm and another at 8pm. It takes place at Anvil Centre.

It’s About Time is the year end production of the Vancouver Circus School Ring Masters. The Ring Masters program is the intermediate level – so they aren’t quite yet professional performers, but this isn’t your year-end recital for the kids. These spectacular circus artists will take you on a trip down memory lane with their own unique style, playing homage to rock and roll, grunge, and more. This is totally family-friendly affair and is fun for all ages, you’ll be sure to want to run away to the circus after you see this show!

Show times are 4 pm and 8 pm at the Anvil Centre and the show runs 90 minutes. Tickets available at www.ticketsnw.ca  and there are group rates for more than 10 people. Call the box office at 604-521-5050.

But wait, there’s more!

(Of course, right?)

Comment on this post with your favourite part of the circus and you could win a pair of tickets, valued at $40. Winner will be drawn by random number generator, and will be notified at 5pm on Friday, June 24. Good luck!

  1. I wish they offered toddler classes (drop ins) on weekends! That would be awesome. Being a working mom, I never have a chance to bring my kid to a class on Wednesday.

  2. My favourite part about circus is how my 4 year old daughter uses my arms as Aerial Silks when she practices her “moves.” As a result, I put my back out on Friday, all in the name of art. Athletic, ridiculous art. Thanks Nigel : )
